With the accelerated introduction of Electric and Automated Vehicles on our roads, another established sector is facing a paradigm shift of its own: the parking business. While the interplay between on-street and off-street parking, and their commensurate effect on urban mobility, will remain for years to come, new challenges and opportunities will emerge when looking at the needs of both EVs (in terms of charging infrastructure) and AVs (in terms of reduced “down time” while having to manage potentially large fleets of shared and on-demand vehicles). This session aims to shed some light into these issues, both from a public and private sector perspective.
