Dr. Angelos Amditis is Research Director in ICCS, and member of its BoD, as well as the founder and Director of the I-SENSE Research Group. Since June 2018, he has been the ERTICO-ITS Europe Chairman. He also serves as a member of the Executive Board of ETP-ALICE, Deputy Chairman of Athens Urban Transport Organisation, member of the BoD of Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company, and as the Vice President of ITS Hellas.
He is Greece’s National Representative for the Horizon Europe (2021-2027) Research Programme for Climate, Energy and Mobility and Technical Advisor of the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport on CCAM, C-ITS and eCall.
During his long career, he has been active in the fields of Intelligent & Automated Transportation Systems, ITS for Logistics, MaaS, electromobility, Traffic Management, Cooperative Systems, CCAM, 5G Technology, AI and many more. In the last 20 years, he has participated in numerous research projects being the scientific responsible of more than 170 projects. Currently he is coordinating the EIFFEL, 5G-IANA, CitySCAPE, eCharge4Drivers, ICT4CART, DIONE, HYPERION, CYBER-MAR, RESIST, and IN-PREP projects.
He has authored and co-authored more than 90 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and more than 240 conference papers.
