Franklin "Chip" Darius Jr. is an expert in occupational safety & health with 30 years of experience. He has provided consulting, training, risk management, and legal expert witness services throughout the United States and internationally. Clients include government, construction, industry, manufacturing, utilities, and emergency services. He holds BS and MA degrees from the University of Connecticut, along with multiple safety & health certifications and certificates.  He has been an instructor for the US Occupational Safety & Health Administration Training Institute Region 1 Education Center since 2002, where he teaches more than 20 different regulatory and technical courses, and serves as lead instructor on roadway work zone safety. He is adjunct faculty teaching safety & health courses for Keene State College and Fitchburg State University.  He lectures frequently at national, regional, and state safety & health conferences, and contributes articles to professional publications. He serves on standards development committees for the American National Standards Institute, ASTM, and NFSI. He is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Professionals and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.  He and his wife, Marla, have five children.
