Leila Muchanga-Hvelplund has over 10 years of combined experience including engineering, strategy and mentoring, and as part of executive management teams. Leila works with advanced technology and disruptive tools (e.g. Drones, AI, Sensors) to improve safety preventing traffic accidents.

To meet the needs of transportation safety across multiple transport modes more closely, Leila delivers customised earning programs (mentoring, inspirational and more) to public and private institutions.

She is experienced in combining existing knowledge with new methods to proactively uncover new information. This information can be disseminated across multiple communication channels, from academic publications, social media, international conferences and symposia.

Leila is an accredited CEng, a mentor at the Institute of Engineering Technology accredited MCQI in the UK. Leila’s PhD Research focuses on incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Road Safety at the University of Birmingham. Leila has studied, worked and lived in Portugal, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and currently lives in Denmark.

Leila is a Portuguese native speaker, fluent in English, Danish and Spanish and intermediate in French and Polish.
