Simon is a consulting transportation engineer with 34 years experience in road and airport infrastructure design, construction and project management. He is a director of ARRB Systems South Africa based in their Cape Town office and specialises in the fields of pavement/materials engineering, road asset management implementation & systems design, project and network level economic analysis and forensic investigations Simon has led a number of research initiatives into automation of road condition data collection and analysis with particular reference to traffic speed deflectometer devices at both network and project level.
